Days before Rage Against the Machine?s Zack de la Rocha joined Conor Oberst to announce a July 23 concert to support the fight against Arizona?s new immigration enforcement law, a Latin music concert protesting the same law drew several thousand people in neighboring New Mexico.

Saturday?s free ?Voces Unidas Por America? concert drew about 3,600 people to Albuquerque?s Tingley Coliseum, according to concert producer David Chavez of LatinPointe Communications. Ozomatli, Jose Jose, Pee Wee and Cristian Castro performed at the show, where the Black Eyed Peas? Taboo also premiered a music video for his song, ?One Heart, One Beat,? that he wrote in response to the Arizona law.



The concert was part of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) annual conference. Segments of the concert will be shown on a Telemundo news special on Sunday, July 25 called "Arizona Hora Cero" (Arizona Zero Hour). The special will also feature interviews with banda singer Jenni Rivera, who participated in a protest march in Phoenix in May, and immigration hawk Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Walmart, Goya Foods and Miller Brewing Co. sponsored the ?Voces Unidas Por America? concert, for which artists donated their time.
