U.K. indie Cooking Vinyl has signed singer songwriter Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, dance act Underworld and indie-rock veterans the Charlatans.
The service and marketing deals for the acts' new albums will work on a revenue share basis rather than an advance and royalty payments.
Cooking Vinyl released albums in 2009 on service deals with Groove Armada, Suzanne Vega and the Prodigy, whose "Invaders Must Die" is certified double platinum for 1 million sales in Europe according to indie body Impala.
"The success of the Prodigy record has really help us attract some great artists," said Cooking Vinyl founder Martin Goldschmidt in a statement. "I like the services model because it aligns our interests with the artist and creates a strong partnership. The accounting is very transparent and everyone knows how much all parties have made or lost from the deal."
