U.K. indie Ninja Tune celebrates its 20th anniversary with the release of the Ninja Tune "XX" box set.

It includes original artwork from Ninja designer Openmind and three hardcover cases filled with new material and an exclusive hardcover edition of the book "Ninja Tune: 20 Years of Beats and Pieces."

The box set will be available Sept. 20. It will include exclusive tracks as well as new remixes from Ninja Tune artists, including Amon Tobin, Roots Manuva, Kid Koala and more.

Leading up to the release of the box set, Ninja Tune will give away rare material and mixes every week from the Ninja Tune XX website. The first giveaway is a collector's set of two tracks from the first Ninja Tune recordings, which were originally released in 1990.

In addition to the box set, the Ninja Tune founders will host a Ninja Tune XX event on Oct. 2 in London at the Ewer Street Car Park. Similar gigs will be staged around the world, taking place in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Montreal, New York, L.A. and Tokyo. Official line-ups and ticket links are soon to be announced.

Ninja Tune, in conjunction with BUG and onedotzero, will also hold a Ninja Tune Video Showcase on Nov. 12 to present a collection of their most popular and strangest music videos to date.

DJs Matt Black and Jonathan More, also known as Coldcut, founded Ninja Tune in 1990. The label represents artists in the electronic, alternative hip-hop, nu-jazz and experimental genres.
