HMV Ups Mel Armstrong
February 24, 2010 - Global | Retail

By Andre Paine, London

U.K. entertainment retailer HMV has promoted Mel Armstrong to head of music.

Armstrong, previously music product manager, takes over from Rudy Osorio who has been appointed head of DVD.

Osorio, who spent three years in the music role, takes over from Charles Fotheringham who left the company last week.

The appointments follow a review of how HMV's commercial trading is supported within the business.
