Michael Black, founding member and former Executive Vice President and General Manager of indie distributor ADA, has been hired by The Orchard as Senior Vice President, Client and Sales Group.

Black has been serving as a consultant to The Orchard, which also deals in independent music and video distribution in addition to offering neighboring rights and royalty collection for its clients, since August of 2011. As a full time employee, he will be looking after client relationships and physical sales, reporting to CEO Brad Nevin.
